What we collect

ToClearSkies is primarily a read-only guide. We may receive standard request, device and error logs, plus search inputs needed to show nearby destinations. We do not require an account.

Exact location

“Use my exact spot” only runs after your browser asks for permission. Your latitude and longitude are added to the page URL and sent to our conditions endpoint, which may request weather, air or alert data from Open-Meteo, WeatherAPI, AirNow and the U.S. National Weather Service. Do not use the exact-location option on a shared device if you do not want the coordinate in browser history. You can always search by city instead.

How we use information

We use information to operate, secure and improve the site, refresh environmental data and understand which destinations are useful. We do not sell personal information.

Third parties

Air and weather data comes from the sources listed in our methodology. Lodging and map links may take you to third-party sites whose own policies apply. Questions or deletion requests:privacy@toclearskies.com.
